Ammonites
Ammonite fossils are extinct cephalopod (mollusk) life forms that lived and thrived in the Jurassic/cretaceous period, approximately 100-250 million years ago. They were highly successful predators of the seas, but became extinct about the same time as dinosaurs from reasons unknown. These Madagascar ammonites represent some of the best preserved specimens found anywhere in the world, and most contain ammolite like fire in rainbow colors, and amazing fine suture lines, made during shell growth.
Fossilized Amphibian Egg
This fossilized amphibian egg jasper material was discovered in an ancient dry lake bed in northern Arizona. It dates back to the Miocene age, about 14-16 million years ago. During a volcanic eruption ash covered the lake bed, and over millions of years the amphibian eggs and matrix material became silicacized. The rough material has been professionally shaped into beads and polished, resulting in an amazing bead! Totally unique and beautiful, you can see some of the tiny eggs and plants they adhered to. Great for a focal bead, or to compliment other unusual beads.
NOTE *There is a limited amount of this material, when it’s gone, it’s gone for good.*
Dinosaur Bone
Utah dinosaur bone, discovered approximately 50 years ago, nice definition and red cell color, great for cabbing, or polishing and displaying.
