   This fossilized amphibian egg jasper material was discovered in an ancient dry lake bed in northern Arizona. It dates back to the Miocene age, about 14-16 million years ago. During a volcanic eruption ash covered the lake bed, and over millions of years the amphibian eggs and matrix material became silicacized. The rough material has been professionally shaped into beads and polished, resulting in an amazing bead! Totally unique and beautiful, you can see some of the tiny eggs and plants they adhered to. Great for a focal bead, or to compliment other unusual beads.
